You’re purchasing a gorgeous antique guaranteed old and original beautifully carved tiger oak made in England aneroid barometer. This wheel banjo type barometer is very attractive with beveled glass covering the etched barometer portion. The oak is in pristine condition as is the barometer face and glass. The carved oak portions feature a floral motif. The only issue is it is missing it’s original 10 thermometer. I bought it without it. I also do not know the maker. Just a beautiful banjo barometer in pristine condition. It also has it’s original brass hanging bracket. Fabulous antique Victorian to early Edwardian era hand carved 31 tall wall barometer & thermometer, ornate with foliate accents and wonderful condition! Everyone’s got a perfect spot for one of these superb antique hand carved wood cased barometers. One of our favorite home details, really, and works in Country French or English Manor interiors, either one. Perfect for traditional homes, ski lodge or cabin decor, as well. This one more Classical in style that Black Forest with its carved finials top & bottom and relatively plain case otherwise. A large barometer with card outer dial in French and a center that views the inner aneroid barometer mechanism. A long thermometer mounted on an enamel plaque with black enamel markings. Large, very Victorian and with a nice warm aged wood finish or patina. A lovely decorative piece and guaranteed to please. Don’t miss it! I see no chips or damage though there may be a small nip to a carved edge or tip. There is a bit of cracking to the enamel thermometer plaque around the 10 degree markings. The thermometer and barometer are fully intact but we’ve not checked them for accuracy. The piece weighs 5 lbs, 13oz. See pictures for all measurements. We’re easy to deal with.
