The instrument for a few days and it seems to work. The rain we had a few days ago. The visible portion of the plastic in good shape with a couple of light marks. Fits inside the base shows some wear. The instrument with dome is 6 3/4″ tall, 4 1/8″ in diameter and it weighs 1 pound 5 ounces.

The case is pine with mahogany veneer and black string inlay. Overall the wood is solid and it is in fair to good condition, even with its issues of minor wear and some missing trim at the top, scratches and a split at the very top. The case is finished off at the top with a brass finial. The case will need restoration as well. We noticed a long glass tube inside the back of the case is broken into sections.
