Hamilton Clock Heavy Brass Wood Barometer Quartz Germany Vintage Wall Desk GM. This is a wonderful little Hamilton desk or wall clock/barometer combo unit. Was originally a 25 year service award for a Chevrolet Motor Division employee. Made of solid would and brass and weighs over 3 lbs. Measures approximately 10.5×5.5×2.5. Fresh battery installed and keeps good time. Adjustable barometer crystal that allows you to track weather changes. The plaque could probably be removed and re-purposed. Beautiful 19th Century barometer made by Pertuis Hulot Naudet (PHNB) in Paris. Pressure is reported in inches of mercury and the thermometer is Fahrenheit scale. Lovely patina on brass case. I have compared it many times to local barometric readings and it is accurate. It is rather rare to see these barometers without advertising on the dial. The dial shows some aging and the glass is not cracked although there looks to be some debris stuck to the inside of the glass. Brass has wonderful patina from aging. With marked naudet & cie barometer marked on dial and back as well.. Thermometer is marked paris 1830 and all in centegrade..
