This barometer is very old. It was a gift from a danish friend. Ithe writing is in danish fair weather beautiful weather etc. The barometer is housed in a handcarved case naive carving i would say there is as you can see a deer head one of the antlers is fixed there is english oak leaves and acorns on the sides of the head. The barometer has crossed hunting rifle. Between the hunting rifels t is a hunting bag also somewhat naive. The temperature is in cencious. The writing on the themometer is handpainted. Taken as a whole it is a very fine piece well balanced and the composition “works” a solid antique that should bring much enjoyment for many years to come.
