Up for consideration is a very rare fine old Hand Carved Black Forest German or Austrian Figural Wall Hanging Barometer. It stands 22 inches in height by 8 inches across. Most of the instrument is in German. The piece has a wonderful Gothic archway up top of which a young man playing football (soccer) is carved into this piece. This Neo Gothic style barometer is from France and it dates to the late 1800`s. This is a genuine old one with exceptionally fine carving. The case is made from solid walnut and oak and finished to a warm dark color. The barometer appears to be working well and shows very little damage.
