Up for your consideration, is this large 35 inch Tall and 21 wide at its widest. All carved wooden German barometer. It has two winged griffons and a large carved wooden ladies head what appears to be a Laurel on top of her head. There are carved flowers and also carved grapes. It is in excellent condition with a few insignificant age cracks, (1) and some wear in highlighted areas. Nothing that affects the look of this exceptional barometer. The carved winged griffons on either side are of exceptional quality. Something out of a Greek mythology story. Nice mid 1800’s oak carved banjo barometer. About 34 long and will make any room. Unusual in that the thermometer on the top is not recessed. According to the sticker on the reverse this was in some exposition and I wish that all the sticker was on it. Great condition and working. The actual photo is about 3.75″ x 5 7/8″. The board size varies by photo. The corners are broken on the bottom on the largest. These date from about 1900 and I can not quite make out the photographer name on the smaller one. Badge number 2 is on his hat. I focus on happy repeat customers and love what I do and try to ensure all customers are happy. Here is an antique thermometer that is brass and some other non magnetic metal and has an 1887 patent date and was made by taylor brothers in rochester, new york. It is 6 1/2′ long not counting the nipple on top.

The nipple has a hole in it where a ring was to hang it by. The other end looks like it is missing something where there is a hole.
