Offered here is an August Schatz & Sohn Maritime (marine) barometer and thermometer, with both Fahrenheit and Celsius scales. This model is done and finished in Schatz’z chrome finish. There is NO pitting of the chrome, or any areas of rust present. The barometer measures a large 6 inches in diameter on its face, so reading it, even from a distance is easier, and its back plate is 7 inches. It is just over 3.5 inches deep, from back to front. Four (4) mounting screw holes are on the back plate rim for easy hanging. The barometer also features a small covered port on the back, that houses the brass calibration screw, to adjust, if and when needed. Schatz & Sohn name is also stamped on the back, as well as its place of manufacture – Germany.
