Antique Dutch Black Forest barometer, VERANDERLYK. Excellent appearance condition for age (see description & photos). Appears to function correctly; however, no warranties or guarantees offered. Description & condition (see photos). Excellent condition & quality for age. On face along with. Wood reverse side stamped “358″. Original hanger on reverse side. No signs of damage or wear to mechanism, glass, thermometer & woodwork other than. Several very small chips at glass edge (only visible on close inspection). Several cracks to glass backing behind thermometer (glass is still held in place). Light deformation of top metal plate on reverse side. Minor differences to symmetrical form of carving on each side; may be minor damage that has been repaired most noticeable in 9th and 10th photos, 2nd leaf form from top on right hand side (due to natural & irregular form, this & other differences are not noticeable without very close inspection & comparison; when surrounded with other artwork it is likely to be unnoticed by most people). Description of condition identifies anything significant that would impact use and/or appearance; however, use, wear, and production flaws are common for vintage items due to item’s age, intended use, production/manufacturing processes, and materials used.
