BIG 19 c OAK Neoclassical Bronze Goddess Girl Figure Aneroid Dore Gilt Barometer. Here we have an EXCEPTIONAL and Once in a lifetime Barometer. It is from the late 1800s and has a beautiful Art Nouveau maiden face on the front as well as ribbon bows all done in bronze ormolu. The wood is solid OAK and the face of the barometer is made of porcelain. There is a large thermometer on top and glass on top of it. You will love adding this HUGE barometer to your collection! Size It is 42 long and 14 wide. Condition In beautiful condition as shown and fine working order. The barometer is an aneroid barometer, typical of the period, and it is working perfectly as far as I’m able to tell (we don’t have a whole lot of big weather swings here in San Diego, CA). The thermometer is complete and undamaged and the wood and more bronze casement and trim is all just fine and very pretty. Had I a spot for this one, it wouldn’t have made it to our shop.
