Here’s an antique Pocket Barometer/Altimeter that dates to around WW1. It has the back engraved with the original owner, F. TUCKER 141 ESSEX ST. The guy I bought this from obtained it from that owner’s family and was told he worked for the Railroad. The barometer is totally made of brass with nice knurling on the bezels. The front bezel rotates to set the Altitude. The dial face is silvered and has some tarnish. There’s a maker’s mark on it too. There’s a screw adjustment on the back. It fits into the hard clamshell case wiht green lining and leather covering. This is a exceptional antique russian silver tea / coffee set. I will try to explain them to the best of my ability, please feel free to ask questions. This set consist of a tea pot which stands 7″ tall and 7″ from handle to spout, the weight of this tea pot is 375 grams. The sugar stands 4″ tall and 6″ from handle to handle, and weighs 245 grams. The creamer stands 2 5/8″ tall, 5 1/4″ from spout to handle and weighs 117 grams. Each piece is decorated with a very detailed floral engraving. True quality and master silver work. The hallmarks consist of the date of 1881 which sits below the assayers mark of AK, also the silversmiths marks of HAK and the location mark which I cannot read, and last is the mark of 84 which is for the metal purity of 875 silver. This set is in very good condition with only the teapot having a dented bottom and the finial on the lid is slightly crocked.
