Up for sale here we have a VERY RARE Old Antique EUGENE DIETZGEN Pocket Barometer Made by Short & Mason. The condition looks to be pretty good for the era. Photos tell the story. The small case is well aged/used. The small push button on the front of the case is missing and it doesn’t close properly. We don’t know if it is working properly. SHIPS; SERIAL NUMBER N 1064 1941 MANUFACTURED BY W. WELCH MANUFACTURING COMPANY; CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. I think this barometer is made of brass except for the bracket. Thermometer and baromrter tubes are broken. Thermometer slides in and out easily. See last pictures for broken barometer tube. There is NO Mercury in this unit. Approximately 39 inch over all length. Looks and displays very well, Overall very good for being over 70 years old. The four digit number after the heading description is my inventory number.
