This is an estate find of an centigrade thermometer in its original oval tubing box. The glass shape is a wide 1/2″ (11 mm) by 5/16″ (8 mm) oval shape. Overall length is 5.04 (128.11 mm). The bottom chamber with the mercury is 1/8 (4 mm) round. It is in perfect condition. The original cardboard oval tubing box has a dimpled faux black leather with a lot of signs of wear including a 7/8 long tear in the cap. Overall lenght of box is 5.56 (141.42 mm) and. 6 16.87 mm x. 52 (13.38 mm) oval in shape. The cap still holds on as the main chamber has a very high collar. There are no markings on the box but the back of the thermometer says maxima 1 minute 99q 1/10 c. This is a great old medical specimen for any collector!
