Antique Barograph Recording Barometer Henry J. Green Brooklyn, NY – NON WORKING, PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION. Late 1800’s – Early 1900’s Weather Barometer in Wood & Glass Case. I have never tried to use or repair this item, it was used as a decor display piece. This item would date to 1890 at oldest when Green moved his company to Brooklyn, NY. DESCRIPTION: This item does not appear to be working & is missing the gear cover & top piece of glass case. There are signs of wear & age to all components. Two of the front base wood corners are loose. There are areas of cracks in the wood as pictured. The glass case at one point appears to have been attached to the base with hinges & had a key lock which is not present. Approximate Measurements: 18″ Long x 10.5″ Wide x 7.75 Tall. Antique Charles Large Brooklyn New York NY Standard Storm barometer b20th Century. This Barometer is a perfect conversation piece and look exceptional while hung on display. The solid wood frame is nicely aged accompanied by two steel side bars. The metal back plate still shows its graphics with great details. A Hanging Standard Storm Glass Barometer by Charles Large, Brooklyn New York, c. This Barometer is a perfect conversation piece and look exceptional while hung on display. The solid wood frame is nicely aged accompanied by two steel side bars. The metal back plate still shows its graphics with great details. Both the thermometer and storm glass work as they should – This photo was taken in cold Scranton Pennsylvania, you can see the crystallization in the storm glass indicating ice or snow. This piece arrives ready to hang by its original brass hoop upon top. Condition: This piece shows its age nicely and is fully functional. Surface rust is shown to the face and metal side bars as well as a patina finish to the wood frame. The left metal side rail is slightly bent in. Dimensions: 3 wide x 8.5 tall x 1 deep. An early antique weather station: thermometer on left side, barometer gauge on right. Release screw on bottom. Measures 33″ tall, 3 1/2″ wide, about 2 in depth. NORTON 40 FULTON ST. Small curved piece of wood that sits atop curved glass front is removable and glass can easily be slide out. This is how I found the piece in an old estate. I’m not sure if that piece of wood is supposed to be fixed in place or not. Thermometer is working well but I don’t think the barometer is functioning. This is an antique barometer and thermometer. Its made by Manhattan Barometer. Its made of wood and metal. The thermometer and Barometer are both held down with metal straps and wire. The back and ends are made of wood. The back wood is split. But is still intact. On the back is a piece of the original instructions. The glass on the thermometer and Barometer are in good shape. The liquid in the Barometer is very murky discolored. But there is no date on the item. The approximate measurements are. 8.5 inches long. Thermometer and Barometer are approximately. For your consideration is an antique “standard barometer” by chas. The barometer measures about 3.25″ wide x 9.25″ tall x 1 deep and is made of tin litho, wood & glass as shown. The bulb has been broken out of the bottom of the glass thermometer so it no longer works. The glass tube is fine and still full of liquid, but we don’t know if that is in working order or not.
