Antique French aneroid barometer by L. Sits atop a bronze cherub figure stand. Brass case and silvered cutaway dial reveals a polished aneroid movement. Unusual style of movement (first time I have handled one these in over 25 years); my reference books date this type of movement to 1875. Great working and overall condition. Completely original, extremely rare 19th century breguet barometer. This has a nautical, beautiful 5 diameter face, with very clean markings on the dial, reads. Tested and working, this amazing piece is in excellent condition, perfect glass, very nice brass – only very minor wear on the case and a bit of discoloration on the very edge of the dial (can be seen in gallery picture 1, bottom left). 5″ diameter x 2″ deep.
