The subject matter for each degree is comical, and also really cool! There is art work on the bottom along with an amazing copper/brass human face covering the ball of the actual glass thermometer which is huge! This measures 39 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches. This is in great shape for its age, and it has yet to be cleaned at all by me. There is also a stamp on the bottom / back of the thermometer.
