Circa 1890s JJ Hicks London England Pocket Barometer Altimeter w/ Case! This is a J. This measures 2 ½ across and has a thickne. We believe the glass to still be original. This piece has been in our family since 1994, and has been displayed and well-cared for during that time. The wood has a gorgeous warm patina, and the glass is original and free of damage, not even any scratches. The thermometer works perfectly, and the barometer is at least as accurate as the best weather apps. Comes ready to hang. Please not that although this antique piece is presently in excellent working order, we cannot guarantee that it will continue to be so for any length of time. I have for sale what I believe is a 1890’s Short & Mason Brass Compensated Barometer. It says “Tycos” & London on the face as seen in photo. Also, the face is discolored as shown but I have not attempted to take it apart to see if it will clean etc. And actually like the patina from its aging. Otherwise, the overall condition of this barometer is in excellent condition for it’s age. This is an item that was found stored away in a watch maker’s old repair bench. This is a late 1800s Pools Cottage Barometer. These are quite accurate. It has the temperature and a barometer showing the weather change. In really nice found condition. This is an outstanding all original oak wall hanging barometer and thermometer in great condition for age. The barometer and thermometer each have a porcelain face.
