Antique French Aneroid Barometer Tabletop with Alabaster Housing

This unique French barometer was found in France. It has an Alabaster housing set on brass and ormolu decorations surrounding the dial. This is a perfect desk top barometer. There is a sturdy brass easel on the back. The piece has been serviced and tested by our clock maker and is in very good working order. The alabaster has a few age related nicks and some of the gilding is a bit worn. Measurements are: 4 3/4″ wide, 5 3/4″ tall and 1 1/4 deep. Old barometer, very good condition, operational. Height – 67 cm, width – 30 cm. Pictures 3,4,5. LARGE, HUGE AND MASSIVE AND VERY rare, very old (antique) barometer – an ornamented sculpture, the barometer is also functional, beautifully maintained – until you believe that they have survived in this condition until today – of course everything works as it should – BDB condition! Thick glass, the so-called bevelled, hard wood, well-kept. Both barometers are beautiful, functional, decorative, large and old. Made in a similar style with changes to the carving.
