Top Quality English Antique Octagonal Wall Barometer

A top quality wall barometer by the London maker John Wardale. The octagonal mahogany case is in lovely condition. It measures approximately 10 across the diagonal. The silvered dial measures approximately 6 across. The movement has been calibrated but fine calibration might be required for the most accurate readings. The exact age is uncertain, but an educated guess would be 1910 – 1920 based on the back being stamped English Made rather than Made in England. English barometers of this period were the best available.

A superb English made late Victorian piece of surveying equipment. Made in England by the famous Keuffel & Esser Co. A laquered brass case with signs of use. Aneroid is not operational (arrow not moving, service required). Diameter: 68 mm(without ring and crown). Otherwise, an Unpaid Item Dispute will be filed. ALL CHARGES ARE FINAL.

Has some minor damage in on the wood, and shown in pic 3, a small piece missing. Thermometer seems to be working, not sure on the barometer. Please look over the pics to see the minor damage in the wood. Measures about 37″ long, 10″ widest point. Measurements are often in the pictures. Don’t be afraid to make an offer, I don’t mind some haggling! In many of my listings my pictures are my only description, so please look them over well!
