At the top and bottoms are carved medallions and on their side are hand carved roses and leaves. We did find a small chip to the carving of the3 0″ tall by 4 ½” wide thermometer. The milk glass backing to the thermometer is hand painted and although there are no breaks to the thermometer there is a space in the reading and some smudging to the edges of the milkglass. Overall this hand blown glass thermometer measures 15″ long by 2 ¼” diameter with a brass cap. The rest of this 34″ long by 7″ wide Victorian Thermometer is in very good condition, but there are two separations just above the dial. The Barometer is in working condition and measures 4 ½ in diameter. There is some wear to the steel dial and it is hard to read the writing. Overall this pair of Hand Carved, Black Forest Thermometer & Barometer are in very good original condition and we have listed them without any reserve..
