ANTIQUE SELSI ENGLAND POCKET BAROMETER ALTIMETER WithCASE BOX AND INSTRUCTIONS

This is a Selsi Aneroid Barometer Altimeter, made in England, with its original leather case. I would guess, from the looks of it, that it is either 19th C or early 20th C. It is in a gilt metal case that is in fine condition. There are no scratches on the glass but parts of the gilt on the back has worn off as pictured. The diameter of the barometer face is about 2 inches. The leather case diameter is 2.25 inches, impressed on the back with “Made in England”. The case is hinged with a snap open button clasp and is green fabric lined on one side and a green velvet on the other side. I would be more than happy to field any questions you may have. A rare find in this condition, all original with case, and instructions. Nautical Vintage/Antique Sestrel Weather Brass Barometer England. Vancouver BC Good condition with signs of old age as shown in the photos. It does work but not sure how accurate it is. Antique Maritime Barometer Guilt Mermaid Kerr Ship Line

This is a wonderful antique barometer showing a guilt metal mermaid holding the barometer in her arms. It has a porcelain dial with a black wood base with a blue and white enamel flag of the Kerr steamship line. It does work but may need a cleaning of the mechanism. It is in very nice condition showing very little wear. All the gold guilt is intact. 7.25 inches high x 3.75 diameter base. Masonic genuine antique weather station, barometer, carved wood

A small charming antique weather station, barometer, thermometer in hand-carved wood. Amazing piece of history! It is very decorative. Masonic weather station with a Masonic emblem on the dial and mechanism (see photo). The weather station depicts the logo of Freemasonry, the Masonic compass and square, and the letters G. Two temperature scales are designated: the Reaumur scale and the Celsius scale. The inscription on the dial: G. Frei METALL BAROMETER Barr. Barr is now a French city with a vibrant German charm. The city is located in the historical and cultural region of Alsace, which changed its nationality four times between 1870 and 1945: then Germans, then French. Apparently, in one of these German periods, a weather station was made by a certain G. Dimensions (inch): 18.9×9.4. The barometer is working, the thermometer is working, but I cannot guarantee the accuracy. Mercury temperature scale Reaumur and Celsius. On the back of the case s/n 2338 and 2108. In France, the Reaumur thermometer was widely used before the adoption of the Celsius scale. The transition was long: the Celsius scale was adopted by the Convention in 1794, but the newspapers after fifty years still gave the temperature either on the scale or on both. The facility was probably designed towards the end of the 18th century (circa 17721773). Important: the age of the product is approximate. Antique items are not new items! Things that are old can be imperfect, don’t expect them to look new. Color may vary slightly depending on screen settings and minor surface scratches.
