TROUGHTON & SIMMS Pocket Barometer No. Calibrated in millimeters of mercury with a range of 550-790, the upper portion marked “Compensated, “. The lower signed by the maker “Troughton & Simms, London” with serial “1542″. Calibrated in meters from 0-3000 meters. Fine blued-steel pointer set beneath a bevelled glass retained. In a rotating bezel. Drum-formed case with suspension ring and compensation port with adjustment at. 4 o’clock degrees. The whole contained in its original Moroccan leather over wood case, with the original. Blue velvet lining in the lower portion but missing the cream silk lining to the upper portion. Originally with button release, but the button is missing. The case retains virtually all its original gilt lacquer finish, and has minor marks to the dial.
