This listing is for.. Taylor Instrument Companies Stormoguide Black & Chrome Art Deco Desktop Thermometer Humidity Barometer. Very Good to Fine Condition. The interior display panel has some discoloration mostly on the right side. The chrome has some imperfections but may clean up better. The back dial has a splatter pattern on it. There are other minor scratches and stains on the bakelite? There is very little or no rust. The clear panel is intact. Item changed temperature after being put into a refrigerator. The barometer changes over time but will change up to. 10 of an inch of mercury or so with a tap. The humidity also changes over time. Accuracy hard to measure for the barometer and humidity but they at least seem in the. I’m at an altitude of around 4800 feet so expect to need to adjust the barometer considerably. Condition definitions: Near Mint=like new; Fine=only minor flaws; Good=Shows wear but is fully readable/usable; Acceptable (FAIR) = Heavy wear but mostly readable/usable, may be torn in places; POOR=Very heavy wear, parts missing, may be incomplete. Top Quality English Antique Octagonal Wall Barometer

A top quality wall barometer by the London maker John Wardale. The octagonal mahogany case is in lovely condition. It measures approximately 10 across the diagonal. The silvered dial measures approximately 6 across. The movement has been calibrated but fine calibration might be required for the most accurate readings. The exact age is uncertain, but an educated guess would be 1910 – 1920 based on the back being stamped English Made rather than Made in England.
