Beautiful antique French wall-mounted weather station, combining a mechanical barometer with classic French weather markings. PLUIE, VARIABLE, BEAU TEMPS, TEMPÊTE. And a vertical spirit thermometer (Celsius scale). The instruments are mounted on an elegant 48 cm tall carved wood lyre-shaped plaque, typical of French and Belgian craftsmanship from the 1920-40 period. The barometer features a glass window revealing the internal mechanism. The thermometer is intact and readable. Dimensions. Height: 48 cm (18.9″). Width: 19.5 cm (7.67″). Condition: Good antique condition with expected wear from age. Light marks on the wood and some dust inside the barometer glass (normal for pieces over 90-100 years old). A charming and authentic early-20th-century French weather instrument, ideal for collectors of scientific instruments, French country décor, or rustic wall display.
