Antique Keuffel & Esser Compensated Field Barometer in Original Case. This Keuffel & Esser barometer is in very nice condition. The gold-toned case is still very bright with just a few blemishes on the back. The metal face has some tarnish. The glass has a beveled edge and is free of scratches. I’m not sure how accurate the reading is. It measures 2″ across and is about 5/8″ thick. The round case is made of wood that’s been covered in leather. It has quite a bit of wear. The silk lining in the lid is tattered and discolored. The hinge is in nice, working condition. The clasp no longer latches.
