A Hanging Standard Storm Glass Barometer by Charles Large, Brooklyn New York, c. This Barometer is a perfect conversation piece and look exceptional while hung on display. The solid wood frame is nicely aged accompanied by two steel side bars. The metal back plate still shows its graphics with great details. Both the thermometer and storm glass work as they should – This photo was taken in cold Scranton Pennsylvania, you can see the crystallization in the storm glass indicating ice or snow. This piece arrives ready to hang by its original brass hoop upon top. Condition: This piece shows its age nicely and is fully functional. Surface rust is shown to the face and metal side bars as well as a patina finish to the wood frame. The left metal side rail is slightly bent in. Dimensions: 3 wide x 8.5 tall x 1 deep.
