Here is an antique banjo barometer early to mid 1800s. Measures 38″ tall, to describe starting at bottom going up 1st dial is 2 3/4″ across, theres a missing knob spot? Then the large dial that’s 8.5″ across, then the mirror which is foggy from time, measures 4.5″ then the thermometer 2″ across x 7″ Top dial is 2.5. Barometer looks to be veneered in rosewood with total detail. These back in the day were of vital use throughout the world for weather. Side is also detailed in rosewood veneers and Back has a hinged door opening up to long glass tubes. On this banjo is 1860 written in chalk, then “Steve 1860″ is carved and also scratched or etched in on inside. This banjo Barometer is in overall great shape with exception to top. From memory this had a larger crown which hid hanger. Offered with no reserve, please let me know if you have questions.
