PHBN (France) Brass circa 1900 Holosteric Barometer – Needs Restoration. It is 5 in diameter and case is heavy brass. Dial has very old looking Arabic lettering and numbers. Dial in need of cleaning or renewal. Barometer mechanism and thermometer appear to be intact. Thermometer reads 60 degrees in 70-degree room. I don’t know if barometer is working: mechanism is dusty with some rust; little chain and hairspring are intact – but the mechanism obviously needs cleaning etc. Bezel and edge of case are out of round. Glass isn’t beveled, so not original and reference needle may be a replacement.
