From the Netherlands comes this carved and pierced holosteric barometer measuring 19″ by 7″. The ground glass is set in a brass ring, the dial reads in Dutch and is marked with “Holosteric Barometer” and J. Milk glass dial registers both degrees Fahrenheit and Celsius and is free of cracks. In good condition, consistent with its circa 1920 vintage normal and expected wear is present including evidence of once present wood worm adding to its charm.
