Rare Beautiful antique Thermometer. 1880’s original item. Found in the attic of a local estate. The thermometer is by Charles Wilder of Peterboro New Hampshire. The bronze work was done by Wm H. Tomey who worked for the Armington Art Metal co. The bronze worked is signed on the edge. Great floral and swallow bird bronze work surround a high quality and intricate thermometer by one of the greatest makers. The item measures about 17″ inches long and about 10.5″ inches wide. There is some wear and scratching to the oak border. Some finish loss throughout the bronze is to be expected as shown. Overall very good condition considering age.
