Antique Sterling Silver Pocket Barometer Altimeter. This is a late 19th century pocket altimeter barometer made in France. The silver barometer dial has a nice open face with markings from 58 – 80 mmhg (torr). The altimeter’s scale is uniquely custom calibrated for this device from zero to 2471m and can be set by the rotating bezel and screw. The body of the altimeter is most likely made of sterling silver. Comes in a nice fitted leather, wood and satin case. The condition of the barometer is very good. The case has signs of wear and tear with some spots of missing leather. Dimensions: 56mm diameter and 18mm height. Pictures are part of the description.
