This is an UNBELIEVABLE PIECE OF CRAFTSMANSHIP. For your offering is this. Late 1800’s Early 1900’s. Hand Carved German / French. Black Forest Barometer / Thermometer. With a Full Figure Deer / Stag being approx. 3″ long x 3.5″ wide. Appears to carry a Walnut finish. Probably carved from Linden Wood and stained Walnut. Overall 19.5″ Tall x 9.25″ widest point. Please notice at the bottom the right side tip of large leaf is missing. And maybe, maybe the very tip of the deer’s front antler. At the very top the front pediment could use fastening.
