ANTIQUE TYCOS POCKET BAROMETER ALTIMETER. This is a late 19th century aneroid barometer altimeter used by early travelers and explorers. The barometer scale goes from 23-31 inches and the altimeter scale ranges from zero to 8000 feet adjusted by a bezel with a dialing knob. The body of the device is made from gilded brass. The device comes in original leather pouch with some wear and tear. The device was made by the well known British scientific instruments maker Short Mason. The device still showing differences in the barometric pressure and altitude variation. The dimensions of the case are: 50 mm diameter and 12 mm height. Pictures are part of the description.
