In excellent condition, this beautifully preserved, classic and elegant Taylor Bakelite-base 1960’s barograph with test chart, 52 blank charts, ink, & metal nib pen appears to have been lightly used. There are superficial scratches on the plastic cover, but that’s normal for these covers. Perfect for home or office, Taylor designed the chart drum to be reliably driven by a 120v 60cps Synchron clock motor that always keeps perfect time, so battery changes or wind-ups are never needed. As you can see by the chart, this has been tested for 3 weeks; it operates perfectly and silently. By the way it was tested during the months of July and August which are months without any storms in California, so you will see only small barometric pressure changes from the diurnal A. What’s especially convenient about this barograph design is that you can use the chart for several weeks without making any adjustments to the drum because the 60-cycle 120vac clock rotates precisely every 24 hours. You can clearly see this dournal variation the chart. Taylor is famous for making practical, user-friendly weather instruments. This barograph was engineered with a “magnified” scale showing a range of 29″-31″ which allows the chart to be read from a distance of about 6 feet. And because the cover is entirely transparent, the recorded graph is viewable from a full 360 degrees, allowing the previous day’s recording to be reviewed. If you prefer fiber pens, they are available from 1. Cole-Parmer (Oakton Hygrothermograph pen) and from 2. Ambient Weather Fischer F51079A-01R Precision Barograph Accessory 11-1235 Fibre Tip. A pen can last more than a year. The item “Beautiful Taylor Barograph Tested Clean Charts Ink Pens Instructions” is in sale since Thursday, August 17, 2017.
