Antique German Black Forest Thermometer Barometer Stag Antler Rosette Carving c1900. It has a carved hard wood back plaque, decorated with Roebuck and stag antlers, and fallow deer antlers. We see two antler rosettes, the top being unusually large and intricately carved in filigree style to show a majestic leaping stag. We see a thermometer, in centigrade, and a barometer, labeled in German. This measures 23 1/2″ tall, 12 1/2″ at widest, and 4 deep. Large antler rosette carving is 3 in diameter. Very good used condition. Both the thermometer and barometer work. This piece will show very mild expected age related wear, but there is no visible damage or repair. It hangs on the wall by a hook.
