A beautiful 19th Century survey compass made in france, with transit lock and original case, clean and in good working condition. This compass was probably made by Bloch (an optician established in Strassburg – located now in France but part of the German empire before WWI). A fairly rare item. Brass Material: brass Measures: 75 mm (3 inch) in diameter. Original leather case has some wear from use inside is lined with maroon felt. See photos for further details.
