1930s Antique French Barometer Hand Carved Oak Art Deco Thermometer. A very nice and rare art deco design French barometer and thermometer. The case is made of solid oak wood and has been hand carved with great typical art deco details. The barometer dial has a real glass cover that is beveled and a chromed dial frame/ring. The dial is in French and is made by’Maxant’, in Paris. This piece can be hung on the wall, with a sturdy hook at the back. This barometer piece was made in France, around 1930. Total height: about 16 ¾ inch/ 42.5 cm. Width: about 7 ¾ inch/ 20 cm. Some minimal surface wear, but good antique condition. The barometer seems to be not working. Perhaps just needs some adjustments, but I have no knowledge about these dials. We are based in France and offer a lot of European antique and vintage items.
