THIS ONE IS VERY NICE WITH THE ARCHED TOP AND I BELIEVE MAHOGANY FINISH. IT WAS PROBABLY MADE IN ENGLAND IN THE 1820S-1850S. IT DOES NOT HAVE A MAKER’S NAME ON IT. IT HAS A HUMIDITY GAUGE ON TOP AND THEROMETER THAT DOES WORK AND WONDERFUL CONVES MIRROR WITH ORIGINAL GLASS. THE PART THAT TELLS WHAT THE LWEATHER WILL BE AND THE LEVELER ON THE BOTTOM. THER IS ALSO A BRASS KNOB TO ADJUST THE HAND IN THE WEATHER TELLING PART SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT WAY THE HANDS ARE MOVING. THE CASE IS LOVELY THERE ARE 2 SMALL CRACKS ON THE TOP AND ONE ON THE BOTTOM. THERE IS ALSO SOME EDGE DAMAGE ON THE BOTTOM. THE GLASS OVER THE LEVELER IS MISSING. THE BACK HAS THE DOOR WHICH HAS THE HOOKS TO KEEP IT CLOSED AND MOST OF THE ORIGINAL GLASS TUBING ON THE INSIDE. I DO NOT KNOW IF IT VCOULD BE MADE TO WORK OR NOT. THE PIECE MEASURES 39 1/2″ TALL AND 10″ WIDE AT THE WIDEST PART.. EVEN NOT WORKING IT IS A WONDERFUL DISPALY PIECE AND A PLUS TO ANY HOME… JUST CAME OUT OF AN OLD ESTATE. DON’T PASS IT BY. CHECKS ACCEPTED WITH A 10 DAY WAITING PERIOD.
