This is a combination Dutch wall barometer and thermometer measuring 21-1/2 inches (54.61 cm) in length and 8 inches (20.32 cm) in width. The instruments are mounted in a handmade carved oak frame and estimated made during the late 1920s 1930s. The beveled glass is secured in a brass-tone bezel ring and permits read out of the barometric pressures. The dial translates from Dutch clockwise (low pressure): Storm, Rain, Variable, Fair, Change, High, and Dry (high pressure). There is a rear adjustment/calibration screw. The temperature scale displayed in. Is hand scribed & calibrated on a white milk glass. Being a near centurion with years yet in the marathon, the accuracy of the instrument has not been verified and decorative use is suggested. Made by Lufft (stamped on rear mount plate) of Germany.
