Offered is an 18 carat gold miniature barometer, altimeter, compass compendium. It is Hallmarked with the sponsor’s mark B&S (probably Barnett & Scott), a Leopards head (for London Assay Office), the date letter Q (1891 – 1892), a crown, and 18. The outside diameter is 32.25-mm (1.25-inches). The spring hunter case opens by depressing the knurled knob. The knob is also used to rotate the altitude chapter ring. Note that when the barometer was placed in a ziplock bag, and a slight pressure was applied, the needle moved. The back of case is monogrammed.
