Antique Holosteric Barometer Made n France by PNHB for Nautical Use c1900 Works! This is an antique holosteric barometer made in France by the French company P. Company known for quality nautical instruments. The barometer dates, I would guess, to about 1900. It is 4 7/8 inches in diameter, has a brass case and an accurate working thermometer. The beveled glass cover is probably original. The barometer does not have and never had feet. It is made to be hung from a hook – better to survive rough seas. The spun brass case is as found and appears to never have been polished. A terrific working barometer with a working thermometer to collect or use. It weighs 1 pound 8 ounces.
