This is a used, great vintage piece of survey equipment made by american paulin system. It is a micro altimeter / barometer model m-1. It comes in a nice leather case. The leather is supple with no cracking.
There are some stains from use. When you turn the big knob the little needle turns and when you lift and turn the small knob the needle moves. When you move the big chrome knob the very small needle in the “+ -” area at the bottom of the dial also moves.
