It pulls open to see the three faces inside. The three faces are set in brass with plastic covers and they pop out. The clock is battery powered. It can be used inside of a humidor, to keep your cigars in check. A hygrometer is an instrument used for measuring the moisture content in the atmosphere.
Humidity measurement instruments usually rely on measurements of some other quantity such as temperature, pressure, mass or a mechanical or electrical change in a substance as moisture is absorbed. It would look elegant on any desktop or great as a father’s day present.
