The thermometer has a split in the alcohol so the temperature may not be accurate. The barometer has liquid in it and is moving but has not been tested. The wood is very nice. Bray & moore engineering co.
Steam and hot water, heating, plumbing and sewage, electrical wiring and gas fixtures. It needs a good cleaning but otherwise it’s a very nice original item with great graphics and nice patina on the wood. The advertising print is still clear and easy to read. It measures just about 9 inches high by 3 inches wide by 1 inch deep.
The back of the thermometer has the original paper backing. The original price is $1.00. R that is also in rough shape.
This one has advertising for singleton furniture co. It has a deep burn mark in the top center as shown in photos. It looks like the top said furniture and has some other lettering that i can’t read clearly because of the burn. The tin backing has sone scratch marks especially near the 100 degree and word storm. The bottom of the tin is marked pat.
The barometer is broken and the liquid is missing. The thermometer appears intact and shows liquid on bottom, i can’t see anything other that. It measures 7 3/4 high by 3 1/4 inches wide by 1 inch deep. The wood back shows a lot of age and has a rope attached for hanging. This lot comes from an extensive estate collection of scientific instruments.
