Measures 5 inches in diameter. And is 2 1/4 deep. It has a glass face and a brass plated case. The intricate dial appears to be metal. One of the arrows moves when you turn the central knob on the front.
I know nothing about barometers or the names on the instrument, but this is what i found on google. The firm was trading as thos. Negus was still a going concern in 1961. Negus offered a wide range of instruments for nautical use.
My pictures are a little dark. The barometer is lighter then the photos.
The glass face has no cracks, but the brass is worn and needs cleaning. Can seem to get the color right… Hubby says he’s not sure this works.. What i don’t know about barometers could fill a book…
